We are going to try to go to the hospital this weekend and try to find out more information on what we can do with our project. We can ask one of the workers there what we can do to actually create out project.

We will be talking to our mentor to see if she can talk to anyone at the hospital about our idea. She will get our idea out there and see if we can get it approved by the hospital.
We have been getting a lot of communication from our mentor. It is nice to have my aunt as our mentor, so I can basically contact her whenever. We hope to go to the hospital soon and get more information on what we could do with the daycare.
Today we are editing our sites and getting things finished. We finally found our mentor, my aunt Shannon Cantrell. She will help us throughout this project. It will be helpful that she is my aunt because I can connect with her quite easily.
January: We need to find a mentor and start planning on how to get this daycare running.
February: This month we need to get CPR certified, because in order to be around and help the children we have to be able to take action if anything goes wrong. March: We need to get approved to actually run this daycare. We need to reach out to resources in the hospital in order to run it. April: Set up flyers around town and getting the word out about our daycare. May: Have a semi-running daycare, where doctor's children and patient's children can go when they have no one to babysit them. It would be a good idea to have a license or registration before starting this daycare. I know I can get my permit in February, which is good. It will make transportation for me easy to get to the hospital.
Today we looked up activities for the children we would be watching. Some things they could do include art, academics, and of course board games. One activity we found interesting was called "Animal Call" In this game you have partners, one person is blind folded, and you go on opposite sides of the room. You say an animal calling and your blinded partner has to find you. I think the kids would really enjoy playing this game.
Today Belia and I came up with dates and times that we would like to run the daycare. For now when we start the daycare it will only be on Saturdays, since we have a buys schedule with school and cheer. During the summer if all plans go well we could work it from Monday to Friday. Also, once it gets running we could have other people run it, let the business grow.
We need to start thinking and putting our plans into action. One thing that needs to be done soon is getting CPR certified. We plan on getting CPR certified before the end of February. We have to be CPR certified in order to work with kids, in case anything happens to them we need to be able to help them.
